Are your people motivated to develop themselves? Do they feel supported in doing so?
How do you enable thousands of people to practice their soft skills? With online video role plays.
To what extent do your people master the skills, before or after the training? An online assessment provides this insight.
Smart software is an important ingredient for large-scale soft skills development. It removes logistical barriers and provides every participant with a personal learning path that recognizes their talents. We use it in three ways:
Awareness & alignment survey: to recognize if people want to develop and are being facilitated to do so.
Online training: to help people understand and practice the skills.
Online assessment: to recognize if people are able to apply the skill.
The awareness & alignment survey analyzes the level of motivation to develop certain skills, and the extent to which they feel facilitated in doing so. Based on a validated survey, this is illustrated for all participants and translated into concrete next steps. For the participant, but often for the people around her as well.
Our online training software is based on the scientific research of Kolb and Ericsson amongst others, but mostly on the experiences of thousands of our participants. Good soft skills are gained by practice. Every online training program consists of a series of video role plays. Each role play consists of a preparation with theory and an example, a short conversational situation that the participant reacts to and self-appraisal. The latter helps to reflect. To improve, the users can re-record their responses as many times as necessary. A successful exercise can be shared with the coach and friends or colleagues in order to receive feedback.
Skills are best learned by practicing them more often and spread out over time, as tightly integrated into daily life as possible. That is why TrainTool is available for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets as well, and our trainees use these more than the computer. Learn more
Our online soft skills assessments offer you an objective view of the strengths and further developable soft skills in a particular area of the people in your organization. The combination of a valid assessment framework, video role plays and the expertise of our online assessors, makes it possible to give clear insight into someones skills. The personal report shows the participant their strengths and opportunities, providing both recognition and a trigger for development.
Employees can share this on their own initiative with a manager, coach or HR professional, and use it as a starting point for conversations about functioning, development, training and growth. As a manager, you receive an overall report with the aggregated outcomes. We split the results into subgroups such as department, branch or function profile. The report also contains a management summary, in which we present our conclusions and provide advice based on the results. Learn more
A great way to practice conversational skills. It forces you to only tell relevant things. It’s both fun and educational!
It’s all very clear and the way of working is easy. I would love to apply this to practice, even with classmates!
It’s always good to train and we should do it more regularly. With this tool we can train more often, even if it’s simulated. Way better than training only once or twice a year!
It’s a good way to practice without pressure. I’d prefer to have more of a dialogue, though.
I really liked the way in which theory gets put into practice. Things that weren’t apparent to me at the beginning, became clear while practicing.
Looking back at yourself teaches you a lot. Often, you come across different than you might think. I feel like I’ve gotten the hang of it now.
I think reflecting on yourself is very useful. The preparation exercises are giving you a feeling of what to expect in the next exercise.
It’s definitely a fun and effective program. I find it very educational to have to practice specific situations yourself.
It’s a nice and approachable way to practice certain situations. The tips were very useful and it’s pleasant that you can decide for yourself whether you want to look at the preparation every time.
A great way to practice and give and receive feedback. The fact that I can watch my response and repeat the exercise as many times as I want until I’m satisfied, gives me space and complacency.
It’s quite confrontational :), but as you practice more, you start conversations in a more natural way. This also teaches you the importance of showing empathy, for example.
It’s both confronting and educational to reflect on yourself like this. The tool is great for time efficiency, especially because you can choose your own moment to train.
It’s very useful to practice each question step by step, review yourself and then repeat.
